Hello! I'm Tineke D'Haeseleer, a former history professor and I am looking for a new challenge.

As a specialist in Chinese history, I honed my East Asian language skills in China and Korea, and worked at top-ranking universities in England, the Netherlands and the US. I love languages and work easily in English, with very good knowledge of other European languages. Through my research I developed excellent analytical and writing skills, and as a historian I remain a passionate story-teller.

My approach as an instructor emphasises the joy of learning, and focuses on skill development, a growth mindset, and a collaborative approach in a student-centred learning community. I create a safe environment to guide students through semester-long projects of co-creation, collaboration, and innovation with digital tools.

After ten years in the US, and close to twenty years in higher education, I'm itching to start a new chapter. I never stop learning new things and experimenting with new skills, and I love sharing my results and findings in online spaces. I invite you to explore all of this, and more, through this website.
